I just got a new puppy!!? HELP?

shes genius when it comes to hiding then pooping so im going to crate train her
any tips, methods?
Answers:
take her out to go potty every hour and when she goes praise her and maybe give her a treat do that every day she will get it and your dog will hopefully be potty trained
It would probably be a good idea if you put her in the room closest to the back door and put baby gates up so that she cant hide, and if she makes a mess its easy to clean up (if its a kitchen), and she has access to the yard. From there you can crate train her. Hope this helps!
well i never crate trained but i just put up baby gates so that the puppy is always within your sight, they all have their little signs you can tell when they are about to go, the second you see them sniffing, or whatever their signs are, take the puppy outside, then when they go give them treats immediately and say good boy/girl... when they have to be alone i would put them in a room with some papers down and some food and water. good luck.
Crate training is the best method that I know and it provides a feeling of safety, security and structure for your dog.
if the crate is the right size for her a dog poop in the same place that they sleep so put her in it at night and in the morning take her out as soon as you get up that should help her get use to it but if she still poops in the house take her up to it let her see it and pop her on the butt and tell her no that way she knows what see did wrong
good luck!!!
don't make the crate a punishment first and formost. THe age to hours method is best- 2 mths/ 2 hrs- 4 mths/4 hrs etc. Make sure the crate isn't too big or small- She should be able to move around, but not too big or she will poop in the crate. Its natural for dogs to NOT want to mess where they sleep (the den). She is also going to make a fuss when you first start- crying and carrying on. It will take a few nights before she will be comfortable and will begin to treat the crate as her bedroom. Try leaving the door open during the day so she can go in and out. We always give a biscuit when they get in at night. Good Luck
KEEP ON YOUR TOES: watch her when she is out of her cage. Pay attn to when she Goes #1 %26 #2. Females are so hard to potty train. They can usually hold it 1 hr/ month old. up to a certin age depending on the breed. Take her out constantly when you first get her say ever 15 to 30 mins at first. get her used to going out. Make going out Fun so she likes it. A treat work sometimes. When she starts to LIKE going out she want to do it ALL THE TIME but you have to take her, util she gets used to it. Then as you start paying attn to when she goes you can start cuttin down or saying no then.
I tought mine to Speak first. then I made him speak. Then I made him speak EVERY time we went out. Worked great. Some people use a bell. they put it by the door. BUT you have to stay on it. and take her out when she does it.
