Randomly her head shakes like when she wakes up and during the day her jaw will shake violently. I don't know what could be wrong. Im concerned. It started to happen yesterday and nothing out of the ordinary started. Please help. thank you.
Answers:
Sounds like a petit mal seizure. Consult with the vet. My Myrtle started with the head shaking (side to side, like she was saying "no"), and went on to full-blown grand mal epilepsy.
take the dog to the vet. the dog might have down syndrome.
It is best if you have her checked out by the vet.
It could be as simple as having a few fleas, but it could also be something to worry about. Take him to a vet for a check up just to be sure.
A vet visit is needed. It could be poisoning, epilepsy, nerve disease or even damage from Distemper which you should have known she was sick. If poisoning she could very well die so please take her to a vet ASAP.
It could also be low blood sugar or any number of things.
Take her to a vet right away. This could be a seizure or she might have eaten something she shouldn't. Poisoning can create these symtoms. Only a vet will know for sure.
VET ! ....... asap !
when your dog is doing something like you just described, which is very much out of the ordinary and not good for the dog YOU HAVE TO TAKE THEM TO THE VET IMMEDIATELY there is no time for petqna.com .
common sense, a dog should not have to suffer more while you're waiting for these answers, you should have at least called the vet (via emergency) and gotten some advice FROM A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL as soon as this started to happn.
it really bothers me when animals must suffer because of owner ignorance.
The dog could have ear mites. It would be best to get her checked by your vet.
This is something you really should get checked out by the vet. Sezuires, brain damage pain in her jaw or head.
Get it checked out by the vet and ease your worries.
good luck with your dog!
VET (i hope you dont even see this answer i hope you are on your way to the vet. If you dont have the money for the vet bills.
Borrow the money or organize something with them.)
did you look into her ears ... could be an ear infection. look into her ears and see if there is a bunch of yucky stuff
if there is . then she has an ear infection and needs to be seen by a vet, ear infections can get really nasty. The vet will give you stuff to clean them out with plus medicine. Plus the constant shaking of her head will cause a hematoma, which is a large blood blister in the cartilage layers of the ear flap and they can get quite serious, the entire ear flap will really start to swell up .. you don't want a hematoma
if it is a ear infection the poor thing is going crazy ... needs to be tended to immediately
if it is not her ears, then obviously it is something else, so she needs to be seen by a vet
