AS the others answers stated, I'm sure you're puppy is just teething. My 3 1/2 mo. old black lab still has a tendency to "mouth" my arm or hand while we're playing and I firmly tell him "NO!". It's gotten to the point now that if he gets a hand/arm/finger in his mouth while playing he tries to spit it out before I need to say anything to him.
Have fun with your puppy, buy him a lot of chew toys - new ones every week or so to keep him interested - and with training early on "this too shall pass".
Hes probably teething but you shuld show him that biting is wrong by while he is biting u pushing ur fingers back into his mouth making himgag
it is completely normal for puppies to bite, he is probaley teething or trying to show you who is boss, say firmly No and get him a toy that massages his teeth and gums and give it to him when he starts biting
Yes, that is very normal, my 9 month old GSD still likes to bite, but not me. You need lots and lots of chew toys, give this to him everytime he bites you, you can also say OUCh really loud everytime he gets too rough with you, then give him a toy of his own that he can bite as hard as he wants to. Biting is a natural behavior, but you have to deture it on humans, only let him bite his toys!
I have a 4 month old black lab puppy who does the same thing. She chews on me, but not hard. I think she is just communicating with her mouth her affection for me. I think she will out grow it, but if not, I will reprimand her to stop it. She list sens. German Shepperd's are also very smart and I bet they are just love bites and he'll out grow it.
No need to worry. It is normal for puppies to bite and chew. It's kind of like when a human baby bites and chews because they are getting new teeth. Make sure he has lots of dog toys to chew on and play with. Go to the pet section of any store and pick some out. When he starts biting you, get a toy and put it in his mouth or play with him with the toy. Just make sure the toy is not small enough for him to swallow because they can actually choke to death on toys that are too small.
It is normal for puppies to bite, but not normal for you to let them bite! You are the "bigger dog" and need to establish dominance, just as an older dog in a pack would not allow the puppy to bite. This is especially important for big breeds that can get out of hand and have reputations for sometimes being aggressive. If the puppy bites you, stand over him, say 'no' in an unpleasant way. Then make sure he has plenty of chewy toys to play with. (Also important before he starts in on the legs of your couch!)
I bet he's just teething. His baby teeth itch. They do that when thier young.
Or he is showing aggresion.
At 6 weeks he should still be with mom.
He is teething, and you should provide him with toys to teeth on instead of your skin. Take your hand or arm away and tell him NO when he bites.
maybe he needs to be trained he should be with his mother and siblings as this is the age taht they would teach each other about biting and how hard to bite getting one so young can cause more biting problems get hhim trained NOW
