I have a dog who only eats hotdogs what to do?

Stop feeding him/her hotdogs. My dog knows that if she ignores her food I will stop feeding her any and all treats/extras she might get until she resumes eating her food. So she learned quickly that "waiting" isn't the way to get what you want. Unfortunately, when my mom or brother watch her they tell me that she won't eat with them, but then I find out it's because they "feel bad" because they think she is moping from missing me and feed her from the table. So, she waits to see what she will get from them first and if she thinks it's better than her food, she will eat as much as they will give her and fill up on that and not eat her food. This is assuming your dog has been to the vet and is completely healthy. If so, your dog will not starve him/herself, unless he/she just absolutely HATES his/her food. I'd stop feeding hotdogs and if your dog still won't eat, then try changing food.

Simple solution. Stop feeding your dog hotdogs and only feed him/her dog food. Once your dog gets hungry it'll realize that it has to eat dog food or starve.

get your dog hotdog flavored dogfood. don't let a daschund(hotdog dog) near your dog. it will eat if it was really hungry. i was just joking. well a lot of ppl answer this question have good answers. i hope you take my suggestion though.

If you had never fed him hotdogs he would never know what they were like. They are not good for dogs because they are full of fat. Get some decent dog food for your dog and just feed him that. He may turn his nose up the first time you offer it so just take it away and give it to him for his next meal. He'll soon get the message that if he doesn't eat it he will go hungry. Be strong and don't give in. Please don't feed your dog junk food . You will end up with an obese dog with heart problems.
