I have a golden retriever puppy and i dont know whether to feed innova or natures variety?

i know innova is more expensive but in comes in large breed puppy and thats good for my golden to grow and not get hip dysplasia.but natures variety only has all life stages formula in dry kibble but it is raw, cheaper and also have good ingredients.so which is better for a 3 month old golden puppy

Well I hate to put another food out there for you to consider but I fed my Golden's Canidae all life stage. Why? Because Large breed dogs don't need puppy food to grow at the right rate and they need a food of 24% protein or lower to ensure proper bone development and growth.
If you can't find the Canidae than go with Innova but check the protein levels. Not over 24% for Golden's.
I'd go with Innova...that's what I feed my three dogs...Innova Evo to be exact...it's a no-grain all life stages dry kibble. http://naturapet.com/brands/evo.asp... and comes in 28.4 pound bags that cost about $38 before tax here in CA.
Hi There -
I am a breeder of Golden Retrievers and I would like to recommend Eagle Large %26 Giant Breed Puppy Formula to you. This food is 100% human grade ingredients and is the only puppy formula I will endorce for large breed dogs. I base this on my personal experience with rasing multiple puppies on it from weaning to a year of age. At a year of age my dogs go onto a raw diet. But I feel very strongly that for the first year they have a food that is designed for their growth needs. Here is a link to Eagle's web site:

Also FYI - a lot of people have problems feeding puppies Innova they get soft stools. I do not know why, but maybe the food is to rich...
Has your breeder made a recommendation as to a food to feed?
