They seem to actually smile, i tried this for myself but it didn't have that effect for me...does it work for you? also does your dog smile?
Answers:
Yeah, dogs love it, but apparently it ain't good for their eyes. My dog never smiles unless she bites me, then I swear she laughs out loud!
this is true, but have u noticed that if you blow in your dogs face they dont like it? heh heh weird creatures.
My dog used to smile as well. so i gave him a pipe and deerstalker, and he looked better than my partner!
I think its a silly thing to do as the dogs head can be clipped by another vehicle.
Dogs do actually smile and they do like doing that. Because it puts cool air into their mouth and tongue, in which is cooling their whole body off. (because that's their only way to cool off, through their tongue)
nope and nope
They must receive a delectable cocktail of scents as they go along - a dog's idea of paradise. Unfortunately it's not good for them, as it can trigger eye infections. I don't enjoy it for the same reason - bucketfuls of dust and allergens zooming straight into my cornea!
So why do they get mad if you blow in their face?
yes my dog smiles and loves have head out windoow but not good for there eyes makes them run and gives bad eyes doesnt work for me i put air con in car for me thats best and trhe dogs love it too
You must be 6
course they love it .. its the closest they are gonna get to surfing the wave lol xxx
I have seen loads of dogs doing this, they obviously love it,I dont understand why though because if you blow on their face, they absolutely hate it.Dogs are funny animals and very clever. We have always had sheepdogs(living on a farm) and one of them used to hate rounding cattle up but was quite happy with the sheep, somehow he would always know if it was cattle round up day and would flatly refuse to leave the house.
my g/f love's sticking her head out of the car window. i always thought she was a bit of a dog
both of my dogs smile, and love to put their heads out the windows. however, be careful, as we had one dog jump out of the car- while it was moving!
Maybe you could get goggles for your dog to wear when he sticks his head out of the window. Wow! Now there is a business opportunity. Excuse me, I have to rush off to the Patent Office before you pinch my idea.
I don't wish to be a killjoy but they may seem to smile and they may enjoy it, but it is very, very bad for their eyes and could prove very dangerous if they attempted to jump out. Even if they didn't make it, they could distract the driver and cause an accident.
My bullmastif loves it in the audi convertible... and he laughs!!
some dogs like it some dont and the smile u talk about is them panting lol
never tried it myself an dont think i will lol our dog comes everywhere (nearly everywhere atleast!) in the car with us but we have one of those grate things that go in the window stops her sticking her head out an stops the kid to! wud have thought they was much safer
It is not good practice to allow this as most dogs that do it end up at the Vets being treated for Conjunctivitis
Bad for the dog. Apart from grit blowing in their eyes, travelling at 70 mph plus with their head out of the window must have a detrimental effect on their vision.
Our dog travels many miles every week, with the windows partially wound down, ensuring adequate ventilation for his comfort.
As for them smiling, you try standing in a wind tunnel simulating 70 mph and you would smile, although you will not enjoy it.
