I have just adopted a 3 yr. old American Bulldog. What tricks can I teach him?

The 3 yr. old Am. Bullie we have just adopted is already house-broken. There's only so much of fetch he likes to play before he, himself gets bored of it. So, maybe teaching him a few tricks would keep us both entertained. Any ideas what tricks I could teach him, and how do I go about teaching him??Suggestions would be great! Thank you!

We have an American Bulldog and his most amazing trick is his ability to stay. We even put a piece of hamburger in front of him and left the room and he still stayed! He'll like it because he gets to have a treat and people really can't get over how good your dog is!
Hello
basic obedience doesn't sound like much of fun :) But it's a pleasure to have a well behaved dog that you can trust anywhere.
All the best!! Bulls are great :))))
my bulldog is great at "shake a paw" and "show me your belly" (rolls onto her back) also sit, stay, come the basics
Teach him to roll over, sit up, and dance.
To teach sit up, have him sit. Then, put the treat in front of his nose and raise it, saying "sit UP!" When he does, tell him he's a good dog and give him the treat immediately.
Teach him to roll over by gesturing with your finger and giving him a push while you say "Roll over!" Treat him when he does.
You can easily teach him to dance. Hold the treat over his head and say "Dance!" Wave the treat back and forth, and he'll follow it. Once he's taken a step to either side, give him the treat.
it will be hard since the dog is not a puppy, but a cool trick i tought my dog was paw, i tought more but that one is the best. if you want to know a way to teach 'paw' e-mail me.
Get a book on "Clicker training" and see if he takes to that technique. If he does, the possibilities are nearly endless! =)
Basic obedience would definitely be a place to start, though, especially with an American Bulldog, because it will make him much easier to handle!
Bullies are SMART. For fun exercise try taking an agility training course. If you are just looking for "party tricks" work on teaching him how to do an existing cute behavior on command. (Examples from my dogs include teaching our cockapoo to snort and shake her head whan you say "FDR" or the GR jumping up and scanning the bar if you slap your hand on it and call out "Bartender!" or my rotti/pitt mix rolling on her back and kicking her legs if told to "Do your Jane Fonda")
None you adopted the stupidest breed alive aside from a pit bull.
